Knowledgebase And Building Components
OK Custom Builds crafts premium carports, garages, barns, and more, tailored to fit your needs. We offer three key roof designs along with customizable options to make your structure just right. Here’s a quick guide to our offerings, including the essentials that make up each structure. For a closer look and more details, we’ve got detailed images of every product ready for you.
Base Rails
These are the foundation tubes on the sides, where we attach the upright supports.
Bow
A solid, single piece that curves to form and uphold the roof.
Certified Structure
These buildings are designed to withstand specific wind and snow conditions, certified by engineers. If your local codes require it, we can provide detailed plans.
Concrete Anchors
Used for attaching the building firmly to a concrete base, these anchors ensure stability.
Corner Braces (Leg Braces)
Steel braces that reinforce the corners and structure. We include standard braces with every building, with options for taller structures.
Extended Gable Ends
These are additional panels that match the roof curve, offering extra coverage and available for vertical installation for an added fee.
Gable Ends
Panels installed at the building ends, available for vertical setup upon request.
Garage Door
Our garage doors roll up neatly above the opening, available in various sizes, all in white.
Gauge
This refers to the metal thickness, with lower numbers meaning thicker metal for more strength.
Hat Channel
Supports for the roof panels on vertical roofs, ensuring they stay in place.
Header
The support beam above garage doors, crucial for structural integrity, especially for wider openings.
J-Trim
An optional finishing touch for the panel edges, giving a neat appearance.
L-Trim
Used on the panel ends for a clean look, also applied to exterior corners of garages.
Lag Bolts As Anchors
These secure the base to wood surfaces, suitable for non-certified structures.
Legs
The vertical supports that connect the roof frame to the base, essential for stability.
Mobile Home Anchors
Special anchors for securing the building to the ground, available for certified structures or as an optional upgrade.
Non-Certified Structure
Ideal for situations not requiring permits or specific load standards, though we always recommend going certified for the best results.
Panels
Our standard steel panels come in various lengths and 14 color choices, fitting every design preference.
Center Braces Or Peak Braces
Reinforcement for the roof’s peak, adding extra strength.
Peak Height
The tallest point of the building, from ground to top.
Rebar Anchors
For anchoring in ground or asphalt setups, these steel rods enhance foundation strength.
Ridge Cap
A metal piece that covers the roof’s peak on vertical roofs, sealing it against the elements.
Roof Styles
Choose from vertical, A-frame, or regular roofs, each with unique benefits to match your needs and budget.
Truss
A steel frame used in wider buildings for extra support, available for smaller widths as an option.
Tubing
We use square tubing for the frames, available in two thicknesses for different strength levels.
Walk-In Doors
Options with or without windows, designed for easy access.
Windows
Add natural light with our optional windows, available with or without grids.
End Walls
Complete your structure with durable end walls, ensuring protection and stability.
